Privacy Policy

1Who we are

VERA™ — Verified Evidence Registry & Authority — is operated by Media Minds AI Group, a division of The QuantumX Project. We provide a public registry of AI-generated information about brands, public figures, products, and other entities, anchored on QUBIT Blockchain®.

2What we collect

Account data: When you sign in (Google, email), we receive your name, email, and authentication identifier from the auth provider. This is the minimum needed to attribute your activity (saved entities, posts, corrections) to your account.

Usage data: We log search queries, registry views, and lookups so we can grow the registry, prevent abuse, and improve relevance. Anonymous IP-based rate-limit counters are stored for 24 hours then deleted.

Member data: If you become a paid VERA Member, we collect billing details via Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers — Stripe handles all payment data subject to PCI-DSS.

Brand data: When you claim or report on a brand, the information you submit (claim, source URL, evidence) is part of the public audit record. Submitter email may be retained internally for follow-up but is not displayed publicly unless you authorize it.

3What we do with it

We use your data to operate the registry: serve searches, maintain your library, deliver the Registry Report if you've subscribed, and process payments. We do not sell personal data to third parties, ever.

We share data only with infrastructure providers strictly necessary to operate VERA: Google Cloud (hosting), Firebase (auth + database), Stripe (payments), and the QUBIT Blockchain network (for verification anchors). Each is bound by their own privacy commitments.

4Public record vs. private data

VERA distinguishes between public registry content and private user data. Trust scores, AI scan results, and corrections are part of the public record. Your account email, payment information, and saved-entity library are private to you.

Anything you publish via Member Voice or as a Verified Contributor becomes part of the public record under your byline.

5Cookies & tracking

We use first-party cookies for authentication and saved sessions. We do not run third-party advertising or behavioral-tracking cookies. Aggregate analytics (Google Cloud monitoring) help us measure performance and reliability but do not include personally identifiable information.

6Your rights

You can: export your data, request deletion, correct any field on your profile, cancel your Membership at any time, and revoke third-party access tokens. Email privacy@veraregistry.com to exercise any of these rights — we respond within 30 days.

EU and UK residents: GDPR/UK-GDPR rights apply. California residents: CCPA rights apply. We do not sell personal data.

7Data retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Cancelled or deleted accounts have personal identifiers purged within 90 days; anonymized aggregate stats are retained for registry analytics. Public registry entries (about entities, not about you) are retained indefinitely as part of the historical record, anchored on QUBIT Blockchain®.

8Children

VERA is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact privacy@veraregistry.com and we will remove it.

9Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be announced on the landing page and via email to active Members at least 14 days before they take effect.
